Rockland Trust to Acquire Benjamin Franklin Bank
On November 9, 2008, Independent Bank Corp., parent of Rockland Trust Company, and Benjamin Franklin Bancorp, Inc., parent of Benjamin Franklin Bank, announced a definitive agreement under which Independent Bank Corp. will acquire Benjamin Franklin Bancorp.
